How to connect Claude, ChatGPT and Gemini to Turkish law sources (MCP, 2026)
Last updated
Short answer: You add an MCP connection to your AI app. Yargı PRO’s address is
https://app.yargipro.com/mcp. Once connected, Claude, ChatGPT (Codex) or Gemini (Antigravity) can
search decisions of the Yargıtay (Court of Cassation), the Danıştay (Council of State) and the Anayasa
Mahkemesi (Constitutional Court), Turkish legislation and the Resmî Gazete (Official Gazette), and it
returns each decision with its chamber, docket (esas) number and decision (karar) number. Decisions of
18 Turkish authorities and regulators are in the Pro plan.
What is MCP, and how does it help a lawyer?#
MCP (Model Context Protocol) is an open standard that connects the AI app you use to outside data sources and research tools. Claude, ChatGPT’s Codex app, Google Antigravity and many code editors support it.
The connection lets your AI search a real database of court decisions. It does not guarantee that the model will use the tool in every answer; the model may sometimes write from memory and hallucinate. So when you read an answer, check whether the tool was used. Most apps show tool use inside the answer as a card or a line; how it looks depends on the app. We explain why a citation written from memory is risky in AI hallucinations and fake citations.
Turkish court decisions and legislation are published in Turkish. Your AI assistant reads the Turkish text and can translate and summarise it for you in English.
How to connect, app by app#
Yargı PRO connects to any AI app that supports MCP. Some of the apps with a setup guide in the user manual:
| AI you use | Recommended app | Setup guide |
|---|---|---|
| Claude | claude.ai or Claude Desktop | Claude (in Turkish) |
| ChatGPT | Codex with a ChatGPT subscription | Codex / ChatGPT (in Turkish) |
| Gemini | Google Antigravity with a Gemini subscription | Antigravity (in Turkish) |
| GitHub Copilot | GitHub Copilot in VS Code | VS Code (in Turkish) |
| Microsoft 365 Copilot | Your organisation’s Microsoft 365 tenant | Microsoft 365 Copilot (in Turkish) |
| Terminal users | Claude Code, Codex CLI or Antigravity CLI | Claude Code (in Turkish) |
| A model on your own computer | LM Studio | LM Studio (in Turkish) |
The setup path differs by app; in most of them the steps are:
- Open the app’s connector or MCP settings.
- Enter
Yargı PROas the name andhttps://app.yargipro.com/mcpas the address. - On the page that opens in your browser, sign in with your Yargı PRO account and grant access.
- Ask your AI for a search, for example “Search Yargıtay 9th Civil Chamber decisions on when interest starts to run on severance pay (kıdem tazminatı).”
If Yargı PRO Desktop is installed, you can also set up the connection from inside that app. The desktop app connects with one click to Claude Desktop, Codex in the ChatGPT app, Antigravity, OpenCode, Cline, Kimi Code and Hermes Agent. For other apps, the user guide has a setup page per platform: choose your platform (in Turkish). If an app that is not on the list supports MCP, you can connect it with the same address.
Microsoft 365 Copilot is set up by your organisation’s Microsoft 365 administrator. Because it does not register itself automatically like the other apps, it needs a client ID and secret issued for your organisation; write to info@yargipro.com to get them.
You can also have your AI do the setup. In apps that can run commands (such as Claude Code, Codex or Antigravity), write: “Read https://www.yargipro.com/kilavuz/mcp-kurulumu and connect Yargı PRO to this app.” You still complete the sign-in step in your browser yourself.
Tools your AI can use#
Once connected, your AI uses these 15 tools to search the sources and retrieve texts. You do not need to type tool names; ask in plain language and the AI picks the right tool.
| Area | Tools |
|---|---|
| Court decisions | ictihat_ara (Court of Cassation, Council of State, regional and local courts), semantik_ictihat_ara (semantic search), aym_ictihat_ara (Constitutional Court), aihm_ictihat_ara (European Court of Human Rights), ictihat_getir (full text) |
| Legislation | mevzuat_ara, mevzuat_icinde_ara (article search within one law), mevzuat_getir (full text, a single article or the table of contents) |

A real search#
On 27 October 2026 we searched with Yargı PRO’s tools for Yargıtay 9th Civil Chamber decisions that contain both the phrases “kıdem tazminatı” (severance pay) and “faiz başlangıcı” (start date of interest). The tool reported 2,963 results. The first result was:
Yargıtay 9. Hukuk Dairesi, E. 2011/48573 K. 2013/31945, 05.12.2013. “…işverence kıdem tazminatı olarak ilk taksitin ödendiği tarih bakiye kıdem tazminatı için faiz başlangıcı sayılmalıdır. Böyle bir taksit ödemesi de olmadığı durumlarda faiz başlangıcı, davanın açıldığı ya da icra takibinin yapıldığı tarihtir.” Full text of the decision
In English (our translation): “…the date on which the employer paid the first instalment of severance pay should be taken as the start date of interest on the remaining severance pay. Where there was no such instalment payment either, interest starts on the date the lawsuit was filed or the enforcement proceedings were initiated.”
This passage is the part of the decision that deals with a specific situation: in that case it could not be proven that the employee had given the employer the document showing that an old-age pension had been granted. Read the general rule and its exceptions in the full text of the decision. Ask your AI for the citation and source link of every decision, too, and open the link to check the text.
Open-source Yargı MCP vs. Yargı PRO#
Yargı MCP is an open-source project developed by Said Sürücü, one of Yargı PRO’s co-founders, and it is
where Yargı PRO started. The project’s free hosted version (yargimcp.surucu.dev) has been shut down;
that address no longer works. Some AI answers and MCP directories may still show this old address, so
check the address when you add a connection.
Yargı PRO is a subscription service that grew out of this project, with regular updates and support. In addition
to court decisions, legislation and the Official Gazette, it covers decisions of 18 authorities, reading
and writing UDF files (the document format of UYAP, the Turkish e-justice system), more than 100
Turkish-law skills, and Yargı PRO Desktop, which downloads your UYAP case files to your computer. Yargı
PRO’s previous address, yargi.betaspacestudio.com/mcp, also keeps working; for new setups use
app.yargipro.com/mcp.
Where does your data go?#
The content sent to Yargı PRO’s server consists of the search queries your AI submits to its tools, for example “kıdem tazminatı faiz başlangıcı”. The conversation history in your AI app is not passed to Yargı PRO. But if your AI adds text from the conversation or from a document to a query, that text reaches us too. The My Searches (Aramalarım) page in your dashboard lists the queries that reached us. Your conversations are subject to the terms of the AI provider you use. Details: Data Security (in Turkish).
Which plan, and how much?#
Case-law and legislation search, UDF reading and the Turkish-law skills are in every plan. The UYAP connection and UDF writing and conversion are in Solo and above; decisions of 18 authorities are in the Pro plan. The 14-day trial includes Pro access and requires no payment details. Your AI subscription is billed separately. Plan details and current prices: Pricing.
Frequently asked questions
What is Yargı PRO’s MCP connection address?
https://app.yargipro.com/mcp. You add this address to the connector or MCP settings of your AI app; on the first connection you sign in with your Yargı PRO account in the browser and grant access.
Which AI apps does Yargı PRO work with?
Any app that supports MCP. The user manual has setup guides for apps such as Claude, Codex (ChatGPT), Antigravity (Gemini), GitHub Copilot (VS Code), Microsoft 365 Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code and LM Studio. For Microsoft 365 Copilot we issue a client ID for your organisation; write to info@yargipro.com.
Why does the old yargimcp.surucu.dev address not work?
The free hosted version of the open-source Yargı MCP has been shut down, and this address no longer works. Some AI answers and MCP directories may still show it. For new setups, use https://app.yargipro.com/mcp.
Do I need to update Yargı PRO when a new model is released?
No. MCP is independent of the model; you do not need to wait for a Yargı PRO update to use a new model. Tool support and results may vary with the app and model you use.
Is a Claude or ChatGPT subscription included in the Yargı PRO price?
No. The Yargı PRO subscription covers the legal research tools; you pay for your AI subscription separately to that company.
