Searching and reading the Turkish Trade Registry Gazette (TTSG) with AI
Last updated
Short answer: Once you sign in with your e-signature, Yargı PRO Desktop searches company notices in the Turkish Trade Registry Gazette (Türkiye Ticaret Sicili Gazetesi, TTSG), downloads the gazette page that carries a notice and, if you wish, converts the page into text on your computer. An AI app running on your computer (such as Claude Code, Codex or Antigravity) can do the same through Yargı PRO’s command-line tool: it lists a company’s notices, reads the pages and summarises changes in capital, address or management since incorporation. The Trade Registry feature is in the Pro plan.
What is in the Trade Registry Gazette?#
The TTSG is the official gazette in which transactions registered with the Turkish trade registry are announced. A company’s incorporation, amendments to its articles of association, capital increases, changes of address and trade name, board of directors and signing authority, mergers, demergers and liquidation are all announced here. Company lawyers check these notices in commercial litigation, enforcement proceedings, acquisitions and when verifying who may represent a company.
Notices are published on ticaretsicil.gov.tr; you need to sign in through TOBB (the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey) to search them. The gazette pages on the site are published as images, so their text cannot be searched.
How to search in Yargı PRO Desktop#
- Sign in. On the Portals › Trade Registry (Portallar › Ticaret Sicili) screen you sign in through TOBB with the Adalet e-signature app. On the first sign-in TOBB asks for KVKK (personal data) and cookie consent: sign in once to ticaretsicil.gov.tr in your browser with your e-signature or e-Devlet and give consent. Mobile signature and e-Devlet sign-in are not available inside the app.
- Search. Choose the trade registry office and enter the registry number or the trade name. The trade name is matched from the beginning and needs at least 5 letters. The registry number must match exactly: “12345” and “12345-0” are different records.
- Download the gazette page. “Gazette page” (Gazete sayfası) downloads the whole page that carries
the notice as a PDF and saves it in the
YargiPRO/TTSGfolder. The same page also carries other companies’ notices. - Show the text. “Show text” (Metni göster) converts the page into text on your computer. For this, turn on scanned-document reading under Settings › Local AI (Ayarlar › Yerel yapay zekâ). The page is not sent to Yargı PRO’s servers.
A TTSG search returns at most 2,000 results. For a company with many notices, narrow the date range to reach older ones.
Let your AI search it#
While Yargı PRO Desktop is open, an AI app that can run commands on your computer can use the Trade Registry through the app’s command-line tool: it lists registry offices, searches notices, downloads the gazette page and gets the page’s text. The AI then reads the text and summarises it for you.
Signing in is your step. You can allow the AI to sign in to the Trade Registry with your saved e-signature PIN under Settings › Command line (Ayarlar › Komut satırı); this permission is off by default and you get a notification on every attempt.
A worked example: tracing a company’s notice history#
Say you are checking the opposing company’s signing authority and capital history in a commercial case. You write to the AI working in your case folder:
“Search the Trade Registry for notices of the company whose trade name starts with ‘ÖRNEK TEKSTİL’ at the Istanbul Trade Registry Office. Download the gazette pages of the last five years’ notices, read their text and put capital increases, address changes and changes to the board and signing authority in a table in date order. Give each row the notice date, gazette issue and page.”
The AI first lists the notices, then downloads and reads each page and builds the table. Check every row of the table against the notice’s gazette page.
Points to watch#
- The text is read from an image. Text produced on your computer may contain errors; the official text is the gazette page. Check figures in balance sheets and tables against the page.
- Older issues. In older issues a notice cannot be separated from the page; the whole page is shown.
- No certified copies. You need to obtain a certified copy for the court from the TTSG separately.
- Result cap. The list is cut at 2,000 results; narrow the date range when you search.
